Care for newborns that have issues with feeding blood sugar management high bilirubin levels infant antibiotics if needed.

Scope of work
We provide couplet care where we care for mom and baby together as well as some general Womens Health and GYN patients. The Nurse Tech acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team.
As a nurse tech on the unit you will provide patient care which can include taking vital signs transportation collaborating with the RN blood sugar checks ADLs and more.
Nurse techs also get the unique experience of working in the nursery where they care for newborns. Nurse techs will learn to take baby vitals assist with circumcisions do different required testing for newborns which includes hearing screen and car seat testing performing blood sugars and some lab collections.
Required High School Diploma or equivalent
AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
1- 2 years of direct patient care experience is strongly preferred
