Responsibilities

CHI St. Alexius is looking for a Part Time Occupational Therapist to join the team!

Provides occupational therapy services using assessment planning implementation and evaluation in a manner consistent with the mission and values of CHI St. Alexius Health.

What Youll Do:

  • Provides occupational therapy services to a variety of ages and implements age and disability appropriate communication evaluation and treatment strategies.
  • Evaluates records and reports patients condition and response to therapy
  • Charges accurately reflect the time spent and services provided to the patient
  • Effectively documents for quality of care and reimbursement of services.
  • Organizes and plans work caseload and increases work output as patient care demands require.
  • Understands and meets the productivity expectations of the Occupational Therapy Department.
  • Demonstrates high initiative and manages time effectively.
  • Prior to leaving at end of day checks with colleagues and supervisor to see if anyone needs assistance or if there are any patients that need to been seen.
  • Participates in and/or directs patient care activities program development special projects teams assignments and supervision of students.
  • Completes assigned clinical competencies presents education and in services to peers and assists in writing competencies.
  • Demonstrates sufficient and ongoing knowledge of hospital wide safety practices and those that directly relate to his/her responsibilities.
  • Complete mandatory safety training which are department specific.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy

Licensure: Licensed or eligible for licensure by NBCOT and NDOTA
