Position: Assistant Event Coordinator

Description: We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Event Coordinator to join our dynamic events team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about organizing events and gaining hands-on experience in the events industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of events from inception to conclusion.
  • Coordinate with vendors suppliers and venues to secure services and negotiate contracts.
  • Help develop event budgets and monitor expenses to ensure cost-effective planning.
  • Assist in creating marketing materials and promoting events through social media and other channels.
  • Set up and dismantle event spaces ensuring that all areas are well-organized and meet client specifications.
  • Support event logistics including registration attendee management and on-site coordination.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in hospitality event management or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in event planning or coordination is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with event management software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
