The State of Ohio is seeking an experienced Programmer 5 to support application development initiatives for the Department of Children and Youth (DCY). This role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to work in an agile team environment. The selected consultant will be responsible for full-stack development including requirement gathering design coding testing deployment and support of enterprise-level applications.
Local candidates to Columbus OH are highly preferred. Candidate should be available to start ASAP.
Design and develop scalable and secure web applications.
Collaborate with IT managers project leads and other developers.
Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint deliverables.
Conduct unit testing and ensure code quality.
Support deployment processes and troubleshoot post-deployment issues.
Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer.
10 years: Web development using Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 or higher
10 years: C# and Entity Framework (EF) 4.0 or later including LINQ to SQL
7 years: MVC 5
5 years: Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) with Web API
5 years: JavaScript jQuery CSS 3.0 Bootstrap 3
5 years: SQL Server (database design stored procedures views optimization)
5 years: SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
5 years: Visual Studio unit testing and Agile methodologies
5 years: Kendo UI for MVC
4 years: Visual Studio 2019 or 2022
3 years: Azure technologies (Functions App Services KeyVault Redis Cache etc.)
2 years: Azure DevOps (Git Boards CI/CD)
2 years: Core MVC 6 and EF Core 6.0
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage tasks independently or within a team
