Baylor St. Lukes Medical Center is an 881-bed quaternary care academic medical center that is a joint venture between Baylor College of Medicine and CHI St. Lukes Health. Responsibilities

Position Summary

Responsible for the daily coordination and technical aspects of the Radiology MRI Section in accordance with institutional state and federal standards ACR and in reviewing and revising department policies and procedures to ensure continuity in compliance with JCAHO DNV and other regulatory requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • PerformsallFunctionsofanMRITechnologistposition.
  • ResponsibleforthedailysupervisioncoordinationsafetytechnicalandqualityaspectsoftheRadiologyMRIsection.
  • ProvidesdirectionofsectionLeadsandstaffoncoordinatingclinicalandtechnicaloperationsintheMRIDepartmentofRadiologyinaccordancewithinstitutionalandstateandfederalstandards.
  • AssistsinreviewingandrevisingdepartmentpoliciesandprocedurestoensurecontinuityincompliancewithJCAHO/DNVandotherregulatoryrequirements.
  • Workswiththemanagementonachievingdepartmentgoalsandobjectives;promotesteamworkbetweenstaff.
  • Supervisesperformsand/orAssistswiththeperformanceofMRIprocedurestheprocessingandqualitycontrolofimagestransportationandcoordinationofpatientsandrelateddutiesoftechnologistsandancillarypersonnel.
  • AssistsstaffandPerformsroutineandspecializedexaminationsasnecessary;schedulesworkinghoursofstaff includingcall;Assistsinqualityassuranceprogram;Coordinatesthetrainingofemployeesandstudents;Responsiblefor appropriaterecordofexaminationsandotheractivities;andrequisitionssuppliesasnecessary
  • AccountableformaintaininganMRIsafeenvironment.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Licensure:

  • Associates Degree (preferred)
  • Certificate from accredited MRI program and Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (MR); OR Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R)(MR); must maintain current and certified by State of Texas MRT
  • CPR/BLScertification

Minimum Experience:

  • Three (3) years of MRI experience
