Primary Responsibilities
Candidate will support advanced technology radar programs including development of radar signal processors radar tracking algorithms advanced sensors in EW environments; simulation of radar systems; field-testing of RF sensors and systems; in addition to the deployment of advanced sensor systems.
In this role you will work closely with other skilled engineers as they deep-dive into existing algorithms to find areas for improvement in both performance and processing latency. You will find newer algorithms available in literature to investigate and determine if they can provide improvements to the various radar programs.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree preferably in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited school plus 8-12 years of experience in radar algorithm development and/or radar analysis or MS degree preferably in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited school plus 6-10 years of experience in radar algorithm development and/or radar analysis.
Strong demonstration of the skills listed below is a must:
Organizational skills attention to detail and a strong technical background.
Must be able to apply skills to the areas of radar modeling & simulation antenna array theory digital signal processing tracking algorithm development and field testing of sensor systems.
Experience in leading a team of engineers in solving difficult radar algorithm problems peer reviewing new algorithms developed internally or obtained from industry overseeing tasking and other team lead activities.
Must have excellent teamwork skills and possess and show good fundamentals in:
Digital signal processing
Tracker algorithms
MATLAB / Python
Radar Simulation and Modeling
Must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville North Alabama AL area
Must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications.
Experience with radar simulation along with a strong background in statistics and probability.
Candidate with additional skills in the following is desired:
Electromagnetics
Modern C development
Familiarity with Linux
