About the Role
Batty and Dexter Opticians an award-winning independent practice is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Optical Assistant to join our close-knit team and play a key role in driving excellence in patient care and practice operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide senior leadership within the front-of-house team ensuring the smooth and efficient running of clinics
- Take ownership of improving workflows patient journey touchpoints and overall service delivery
- Offer expert tailored advice to patients on frame and lens options utilising your extensive product knowledge
- Lead the training mentoring and development of junior staff members fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Manage key operational tasks such as appointment scheduling inventory control and compliance with data protection policies
- Act as a point of escalation for patient queries and concerns ensuring prompt and professional resolution
- Champion the practices values by maintaining the highest standards of patient care and professionalism
- Build and nurture strong community relationships acting as a respected ambassador for Batty and Dexter Opticians
Candidate Profile:
- Significant prior experience as an Optical Assistant ideally with some supervisory or leadership exposure
- A confident communicator with a warm professional manner and excellent interpersonal skills
- Proactive and strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to improve processes and drive service excellence
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail capable of managing multiple responsibilities effectively
- A collaborative team player.
- Flexibility to work Saturdays is essential
