The ideal candidate will have a robust background in software development including expertise in debugging code review and testing. Youll play a pivotal role in tackling complex challenges designing and developing innovative solutions and leading projects from conception to delivery. Your contributions will not only involve working closely with technical leaders and various teams to exceed client expectations but also providing mentorship to enhance the teams technical skills and foster a culture of high performance.

What youll do:
- Focus on crafting production-level code that is clean modular and thoroughly documented while strictly adhering to coding standards and best practices
- Engage in collaborative efforts to define and document requirements ensuring clarity task breakdown and accurate time estimates
- Engage in research and the creation of proofs of concept to support reliable implementation plans and foster team confidence
- Take an active role in sprint refinement and planning sessions guiding development strategies and promoting an efficient software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Ensure the highest quality of software through meticulous testing and debugging aligning with our standards for completion
- Develop and maintain models for data software and network architecture that meet organizational standards and promote effective information exchange
- Lead in identifying and analyzing the root causes of issues during testing phases and incident management. Innovate in testing by designing and implementing comprehensive test cases including automating integration tests within the CI/CD pipeline to enhance early detection (embodying a shift-left approach)
- Actively participate in code reviews to elevate code quality and maintain consistency across projects. Work on optimizing and refactoring existing systems and legacy code to boost performance and scalability
- Oversee the CI/CD pipeline management for swift and secure code deployment.
- Regularly monitor the performance security and user experience of all applications under your teams purview identifying and addressing areas for improvement with a focus on continuous enhancement
What youll bring:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience with 7 years in high-performance full-stack software development
- Proven expertise in developing production-ready applications using Java Spring Boot and Docker; experience with Drupal and PHP is a plus
- Hands-on experience hosting applications in AWS (or other cloud providers) and integrating cloud services using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
- Strong data modeling skills across both relational and document-based databases; experience with data regionalization is an asset
- Skilled in building efficient scalable and well-documented RESTful APIs
- Proficient in Git and familiar with platforms like Bitbucket or GitHub for version control and collaboration
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality maintainable and scalable software solutions
- Experience working with legacy systems and driving improvements in existing codebases and processes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to understand user needs and translate them into effective technical solutions
- Passion for continuous learning process improvement and mentoring others in a diverse inclusive team environment
