What you will do

Are you looking to gain Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) knowledge and learn firsthand from industry-leading professionals Our team will give you this opportunity in addition we provide factory certification through our Service Technical Academy (STA). We will equip you with tools and a vehicle to perform your job at the highest standard.

How you will do it

  • Apprentices will be trained and will perform HVAC equipment and controls maintenance and repairs at client sites.

  • Will participate in certified trainings through Service Technical Academy that will build skill sets to provide continued opportunities for advancement

  • Through coaching and mentorship apprentices will develop skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and meet customer needs

  • Keep JCI contractors and the customer advised of job progress and issues as needed.

  • Meet attendance requirements for required training for first-year.

  • This may be part of the Bargaining Unit

What we look for (Required)

  • 1st-Year HVAC Refrigeration Apprentice (313A) with UA Local 787 or Entry-Level HVAC Mechanic willing to join the union as a 1st-Year Apprentice.

  • Valid ODP/ODS Certification

  • Valid G.2 Certificate (Gas Technician 2)

  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency withhandheldcomputers (i.e. Smartphone iPad)

  • Adherence to company safety program.

  • Familiarity with HVAC equipment commercial industrial or institutional.

  • Ability to perform general building maintenance.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.

  • A valid Full G drivers license with a clean driving record is required.

  • Willingness to supplement on-the-job training with training provided through the UA Local 787 JTAC and OCOT apprenticeship program.

  • Ability to be on-call as required.

  • This position is open to union and non-union apprentices.

This is a bargaining union position.

Pay Range: 2475$ hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
