The Interventional Radiology Technologist is a professional working in Interventional Radiography with diagnostic angiographic procedures complex vascular interventional procedures and therapeutic procedures. The Interventional Radiology Technologist must have technical radiologic and clinical skills. The Interventional Radiology Technologist works closely with the physicians to perform vascular and interventional Imaging procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- BLS (HA required)
- CA Radiology Technologist (R) (F) ARRT
- Experience operating an interventional Flouroscopy unit.
- Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with medical and technical personnel.
- Must have the ability to read write and speak English.
The Interventional Radiologic Technologist candidate must have experience with assisting the Interventional physician in the following procedures.
- Kyphoplasties
- Fistulograms
- Declotts
- Vena Cava Filter placements
- Ash Catheter placements
- Balloon Angioplasties
- Mechanical Thrombectomy
- Stent placements
- Nephrostomy placements
Preferred:
- One year experience in an acute Hospital Setting.
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
