Job Description
Overview
As our Sterile Processing Tech II at CHI St Vincent Infirmary youll help our team oversee the sterilization and cleaning of medical equipment instruments or supplies in a sterile processing environment.
To be a successful sterile processing technician you should be meticulous with strong attention to detail. You should have a good working knowledge of a variety of sterilization techniques and be able to work with fragile equipment.
CHI St Vincent Infirmary is a 600 bed faith-based non-profit acute care facility providing quality health care to patients and communities from all over the State of Arkansas. Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate sterilization equipment
- Examine supplies meticulously to ensure they are properly cleaned and sanitized
- Test and report any issues or problems with the sterilization equipment
- Sterilize prepare wrap and organize equipment into instrument trays for use during medical procedures
- Prepare and deliver all necessary equipment and instruments for surgeries examinations medical procedures and medical carts
- Maintain records of sterilization procedures sterilized items equipment maintenance and supplies
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required.
