Job Description
McCormick & Company Inc. a global leader in the spice flavor and seasonings industry is seeking a full-time Maintenance Mechanic/Fleet Manager - 1st Shift. This new hire will work at Jurado Farms located in Las Cruces NM. The Maintenance Mechanic I/Fleet Driverwill report to an Operations Manager.

Jurado Inc a subsidiary of McCormick & Company Inc. is seeking a full-time Fleet Managerfor the plant located in Las Cruces New Mexico. This person will report to the Operations Manager.
Transport tanker trucks full of ready-to-ship Cayenne Pepper Mash to the railroad stop throughout the duration of the shift and must be able to follow delivery specifications.
Position Responsibilities
*Transport loads from Jurado Inc. shipping dock to the railroad station.
*Transport loads of Salt from warehouse 17th to McCormick NM facilities.
*Will collaborate to move Chip Trailers from yard to production lines as required during the season.
*Must be able to fill all forms and required documentation.
*Must weigh trailer for compliance requirements.
*Protect truck tractor company motor vehicle and maintain good driving skills.
*Fill the gas tank and maintain a good administration of receipts and mileage.
*Visually inspect truck areas and reports any issues to management
*Responsible to load and unload the semitrailer
*Will be accountable to McCormick Food Safety and Quality Principles.
*If this position is absent the Plant Manager will designate a trained worker to assume the duties and responsibilities of the job position.
* Technical competency with light diesel repair light equipment heavy equipment and preventative maintenance procedures.
*Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs scheduling and various compliance requirements.
*The Fleet Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the companys fleet vehicles and equipment are safe and compliant with regulations and that maintenance is performed efficiently and within budget.
*The Fleet Maintenance Manager oversees and coordinates the planning organization and direction of the maintenance service and repair of McCormick NM motorized equipment.
Position Qualifications
*Must have a valid CDL license
*Must have a good driving record
*Must be able tobe seated for 8 hours or more
*Must be able to lift push pull and carry up to 50 pounds.
*Must be able to continuous bending/ stooping/ climbing ladders
*Must be able to have a flexible schedule.
Additional Requirements
*Must have good communication skills
*Must be able to understand write and speak Basic English.
*Must be able to read and write clear legibly and effectively
*Must be able to be seated for 8 hours or more and walk long distances for extended periods of time.
*Must be able to effectively move around a manufacturing plant which includes but its not limited to stairs ladders platforms and equipment.
*Must be able to follow all safety policies and procedures including the use of safety equipment
*Must be able to read understand and follow written instructions and materials
*Must be able to recognize visual signals shapes warning labels or signs.
