Do you lovemath Then we need you!Sylvan Learning is looking for ENTHUSIASTIC HAPPY FLEXIBLE TEAM PLAYERS to help our middle and high school students with their homework and prep for college entrance exams. We are looking for teachers/tutors with expertise in math through calculus high schoolstudy skills and/or SAT/ACT prep.
Skills and Abilities Required:
Knowledge of tablet computers (iPads)
Proven ability to engage motivate and inspire students to learn
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and be flexible
Strong problem solving and customer service skills
Strong team player
Availability and Commitment Required:
- Preferred 10-30 hours per week however accepting applicants who can commit to as low as 6 hours per week
- Medical Insurance Options available for consistent 30 hours per week
- Tutoring hours:Monday -Thursday 3:30-7:30 andSaturday mornings in center
- Ideal candidates are able to commit for a minimum of 6 months to 1 year.
Experience Required:
- Knowledge of math and problem solving strategies
- Knowledge of algebra geometry and calculus concepts
- 4 year degree in math education or a math related field (preferred)
- College students working towards a degree in math education or a math related field may apply
- State or provincial teaching credentials (preferred but not required)
- Minimum of one or two years teaching/tutoring experience preferred

Compensation:
- $15-$18/hour depending on education and experience
- Health and Dental Insurance Options Available for 30hrs/week employees
