We are seeking a highly motivated Bridge Engineer to join our team in Tallahassee. You will work closely with a team of experts working alongside our customers on some of North Americas most significant projects. And we are thrilled to have contributed to projects like Bayonne Bridge and Wekiva Section 6 project.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Prepare work plans schedules and budgets along with performing analysis of complex structures
  • Prepare design calculations and drawings in accordance with applicable design codes and also prepare engineering reports and other technical documents
  • Prepare standard construction documents such as technical specifications and tender documents
  • Conduct site inspections from time to time and perform other responsibilities as required

On top of that you will:

  • Hold a bachelors degree in Structural Engineering or higher (Masters degree preferred) be registered as an Engineer in the home state or can obtain within 12 months of employment and with a minimum of 5 years of related experience in Bridge Design or an equivalent
  • Be familiar with the use of structural design codes such as AASHTO along with having sufficient exposure to structural analysis software programs (ex: SOFiSTiK CSiBridge MIDAS)
  • Be conversant in the use of engineering software such as Excel and Mathcad to efficiently produce engineering calculations
  • Be knowledgeable in parametric conceptual designs the use of programming environments like Grasshopper and Dynamo would be beneficial
  • Preferably have the experience and ability to prepare proposals and participate in business development along with the ability and willingness to travel
