Job Description
Weather Shield Roofing Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing and dynamic team. About the Role:
This role will be responsible for processing daily financial transactions across all business units. It includes supporting month-end close processes job costing department reporting and audit preparation. The right candidate will have a proactive approach to accounting and thrive in an environment where ownership and continuous improvement are encouraged.
Key Responsibilities
Process accounts payable invoices with accurate job and department coding
Maintain vendor and customer records
Post receivable payments and reconcile discrepancies
Manage receivable collections including monitoring lien dates
Maintain accurate inventory and fixed asset records including fleet vehicle data
Assist with month-end close (reconciliations accruals and journal entries)
Prepare internal reports and support departmental needs
Provide backup coverage for other accounting and administrative functions
Perform ad hoc financial analysis as needed
Qualifications
5 years of accounting experience
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred but not required
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics/Business Central is highly preferred
Must be able to work both remotely and on-site in our Wyoming MI office
