At Cavendish Nuclear were working to create a safe and secure world together and if you join us you can play your part as a Security Advisor at our Warrington Cheshire site.
The role
As a Security Advisor youll have a role thats out of the ordinary. You will deliver security as part of a major national defence programme and assist with reporting to provide assurance to clients.
Day-to-day youll interpret implement and monitor security controls for protectively marked assets.
- Foster a Security Education and Awareness culture delivering training to all workforce members including contractors.
- Prepare implement and update security instructions ensuring they are accessible and understood by all relevant employees.
- Coordinate the supply chain including administering and issuing Security Aspects Letters.
- Report and investigate security breaches record outcomes and provide full reports to the client.
This role is full time 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2-3 days in the office in Warrington and the remaining days working from home.
Essential Experience for the Security Advisor
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Strong working knowledge of the Government Security Policy Framework and familiarity with recent government security policies such as GovS007.
- Demonstrated experience in writing security policies and procedures.
- Proficient in delivering training sessions both in person and via Teams calls.
Qualifications for the Security Advisor:
- Must be willing to travel to other sites and hold a full valid UK driving license.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS)security clearance for this role.
