Position Overview

The Clerk 2 - Long-Term Care (LTC) provides clerical support and reception services to the Personal Care Home/Transitional Care Unit. The incumbent is required to respond to internal and external requests that support the site initiatives and maintain accuracy of local databases. The Clerk 2 demonstrates knowledge and skills in general office procedures while communicating in a pleasant and courteous manner when dealing with people. The Clerk 2 works with Personal Care Home/Transitional Care staff to find and report on department information as needed.

The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health-Sant Sud.

Le Commis 2 - Soins de longue dure fournit un soutien administratif et des services de rception au foyer de soins personnels et lunit de soins de transition. Le titulaire doit rpondre aux demandes internes et externes qui soutiennent le site les initiatives et maintenir lexactitude des bases de donnes locales. Le Commis 2 fait preuve de connaissances et de comptences dans les procdures gnrales de bureau tout en communiquant de manire agrable et courtoise avec les gens. Le Commis 2 collabore avec le personnel des foyers de soins personnels et des soins de transition pour trouver des informations sur le service et en rendre compte le cas chant.

Le ou la titulaire du poste bnficie dun niveau dinitiative appropri et fait preuve dun jugement indpendant pour dterminer les priorits de travail les mthodes de travail utiliser et les mesures adopter pour traiter les questions inhabituelles. Les fonctions du poste sont exerces dune manire conforme la vision la mission aux valeurs et aux politiques de Southern Health-Sant Sud.

Experience

  • One (1) year previous experience working in an office environment.
  • Previous experience working in long-term care/transitional care.
  • Proficiency of both official languages is essential (English/French).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Outlook/Email.
  • Given the cultural diversity of our region the ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population is required.

Exprience:

  • Un (1) an dexprience dans un environnement de bureau.
