Location: Lexington Park MD

Security Clearance Requirement: Secret (in-scope) required Top Secret desired.

Telework Eligible No work will be performed on-site in our Lexington Park MD HQ office.


As ASECs Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) youll support the FSO in managing day-to-day industrial security operations. Youll help safeguard classified information and ensure compliance across programs serving our government customers. This is an on-site position based in Lexington Park MD.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the FSO in implementing and managing security programs in accordance with 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) ICD 705 and related regulations.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining employee security records.
  • Coordinate and assist with new hire security onboarding including initial briefings and trainings.
  • Process employee visit requests using DISS.
  • Support the preparation execution and tracking of annual DCSA security trainings.
  • Assist with initiating and tracking security clearance investigations.
  • Conduct security briefings debriefings and foreign travel reporting.
  • Assist in the coordination and support of government security audits and self-inspections.
  • Coordinate all aspects of classified meetings and safeguarding classified material.
  • Assist in maintaining facility access control systems.
  • Assist FSO in responding to security-related incidents and support investigations as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with insider threat program and support reporting requirements.
  • Communicates effectively with the FSO to ensure company compliance.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Completion of or the ability to complete CDSE training (e.g. FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities).
  • Understanding and working knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 highly desired.
  • 1 to 2 years of progressive administrative security experience preferred.
  • Experience utilizing the DISS Information System for Security preferred.

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active and in-scope DoD Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.

Salary Range:

  • The estimated salary range for this position will be $22.00 - $28.00/hour based on an individuals level of experience and skill set. It is our goal at ASEC to provide equitable compensation to all employees.
