Are You the Next Legend

As our Residential HVAC Install Apprentice This position will focus on installation and replacement for all Residential HVAC services; however our apprenticeship program provides the knowledge and training so you can perform proper maintenance on heating and air conditioning systems. This includes diagnosing and preventing system failures making repairs and replacements and everything in between. Our program will not only teach you professional communication skills for this but we will guarantee that you will be comfortable and ready to use your new skill set before youre out in the field. You will work as a 2-person team to ensure timely and accurate service to clients in accordance with company standards and procedures.

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform the removal installation and startup of new residential HVAC systems
• Work closely with the Install Coordinator and fellow Installation Technicians to provide clients with excellent service as outlined in department policies and procedures
• Maintain a high standard of clean-up before leaving any job site
• Be sure that all necessary touch-up work and clean-up is completed before leaving the job site
• Working as a team with the Install Lead to get the job done professionally efficiently and in a safe manner
• Request necessary parts and equipment in advance to ensure the installation truck is loaded properly with all materials needed to complete each job
• Responsible for the vehicle upkeep record logs and driving of vehicle; valid drivers license required
• Other duties may be assigned

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1 years of HVAC Install experience
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent selling communication and negotiation skills
• Skill in performing routine manual labor
• The ability to use various hand and power tools common to trade
• The ability to learn through observation and hands on experience
• The ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions
• The ability to communicate with team members and customers effectively
• Being capable of maintaining professional working relationships with team members
• The ability to understand analyze interpret and implement ideas contained in technical documents reports regulations etc.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals
• Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully an individual should have the ability to accurately record progress notes and instructions in software; utilizing an iPad

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• HVAC Journeyman License
• Ability to exercise judgement and make appropriate decisions
• Knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of required tools
• Ability to work synergistically with crew partner(s) also independently and accurately
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
• Previous experience with construction calculations pressures temperatures and measuring square footage for calculations

While performing the duties of this Job the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; climb or balance and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds. The employee must be comfortable working in tight spaces for an extended period of time in attics and crawl spaces as needed. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Compensation & Hours

Salary: Starting wage of $24.75 - $33.00 per hour (DOE) Bonus/Incentives

Hours: 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (flexible start and end times depending on business needs)

Days: Monday - Friday with occasional weekends
