British American Tobacco Romania has an exciting opportunity for a Market Analysis Specialist in Bucharest
The objective of this role is to stand for the voice of the market put insights into action and help Area & Market teams think ahead & solve problems before they happen.Market Analysis Specialist is responsible for timely and full delivery of macro indicators market and performance analysis as well as competitors intelligence that support business decisions.
Core Relationships:
- Internal: Insights & Foresights team Category teams Planning teams Finance Teams Consumer Experience team.
- External: retail audit providers research agencies.
Geographic Scope: Romania
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Support Market Intelligence Manager in finding opportunities for our business by analysing categories/ brands performance and trends competitors activities and strategies integrating internal and external information.
- Deliver timely and comprehensive offtake reporting.
- Support retail audit product enhancement automation of reporting and other activities striven to improve data quality and reporting efficiency.
- Ensure collaboration with RMS Agency and service management.
- Execute competitor intelligence platform by ensuring ongoing market scanning mix assessment key initiative trackers.
- Update all market related data and tools (market brand boards update / price tracker updates etc.) & market pre-reads across responsible markets to deliver updated information.
- Execute macro & retail reviews across responsible markets.
- Actively contribute to regular Insights reviews and deep dives for strategic meetings & participate in continuous learning and development activities to build and maintain expertise in Insights and Foresights methodologies and tools.
What are we looking for
Experience Required
- 1-3 years of experience with Retail Audit or data analytics with a demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret complex data and to perform strategic thinking and planning
Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required
- Deeply curious about understanding Consumer behaviour & market trends.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to synthesize actionable and forward-looking insights from research findings and other available information.
- Commercial acumen & incisiveness to identify drivers of Category Consumption & Brand performance.
- Expertise with Retail Audit tools (Nielsen Logista IRI etc).
- Good communication skills (Oral & Visual Storytelling) to drive recommendations with senior stakeholders.
- Resilience to manage and deliver multiple complex projects simultaneously in a dynamic business and BAT environment.
- Strong collaboration skills and a proactive attitude with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships with external stakeholders (agency).
- MS Office (PPT XLS) ideally have some experience with Power BI.
Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
- Graduate degree in business economics sociology data science or related technical field
- Proficiency in English & Romanian.
