We are looking for a talented Senior CloudOps Engineer to play a crucial role in managing and scaling our cloud-based systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure automation and continuous delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability performance and security of our cloud environments with a particular focus on AWS. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues implementing best practices and driving operational excellence.
What youll do:
- Design implement and maintain scalable secure and highly available cloud infrastructure and networking primarily on AWS.
- Develop and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform to automate provisioning configuration and management of cloud resources.
- Implement and manage robust CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid and reliable deployment of applications and infrastructure changes.
- Monitor cloud environments for performance availability and security responding to incidents and alerts as needed.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are designed for cloud-native deployment and operational efficiency.
- Optimize cloud resource utilization and costs through effective management and automation.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and policies within the cloud infrastructure.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
- Document infrastructure processes and procedures.
What were looking for:
- 5 years of experience in a Cloud Operations DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role.
- Extensive experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) including services such as EC2 S3 RDS VPC Lambda IAM CloudWatch CloudFormation and networking.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for managing complex cloud environments.
- Strong expertise in designing implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI/CD AWS CodePipeline GitHub Actions).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP DNS VPNs Load Balancing).
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
- Scripting proficiency in languages like Python Bash or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Prometheus Grafana ELK Stack Splunk).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Bonus: AWS Certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
