Location: Las Vegas NV
Salary: $28-$35/hr.

This position pays an average of $28/hr. depending on experience.
Description of Role:
SRI Telecom is seeking an OSP Planning & Survey Engineer to ensure effective coordination and communication between construction teams municipal inspectors and engineering. The successful consultant will be responsible for conducting pre-construction reviews identifying potential roadblocks verifying redlines and submitting field documentation to support fiber deployment projects. This is a great opportunity for candidates with CAD and fiber engineering experience to contribute to large-scale telecom initiatives.
Tasks:
Attend and support pre-construction meetings; document notes and action items.
Review engineering designs and highlight possible conflicts or roadblocks prior to construction.
Collect information from construction crews and inspectors including redlines and field revisions.
Verify redline documentation for accuracy before resubmission to municipalities or agencies.
Deliver required reports including Pre-Construction Meeting Summaries Construction Crew Logs and Red Line Verification Reports within defined SLAs.
Coordinate with engineering and construction to ensure field conditions align with approved designs.
Generate and review OSP and ISP fiber layouts including patch panel diagrams and cable rack layouts.
Maintain and submit weekly documentation updates in alignment with project requirements.
Identify and communicate areas of improvement within field processes and documentation standards.
Skills & Responsibilities:
CAD experience with AutoCAD MicroStation or equivalent drafting software is required.
Experience in fiber engineering including OSP design and field survey work.
Basic understanding of construction processes and terminology.
ISP experience is a plus.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Strong visual design and documentation skills are a plus.
Detail-oriented with the ability to think strategically and identify conflicts in the field.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Must be able to work independently and manage deadlines without direct supervision.
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with construction crews inspectors and engineers.
