Currently only 39% of adults have an associate degree or higher despite 65% of jobs requiring post-secondary education. T3 provides resources financial assistance and opportunities to students and families equipping them for successful careers. The Managing Director of Workforce Development and Family Alliance is a strategic and visionary leader responsible for advancing T3s dual mission: to increase students career readiness and to strengthen family engagement as a core driver of post-secondary success. While the roles primary focus is building and sustaining a responsive workforce development strategy the Managing Director also provides strategic guidance to the Family Alliance team ensuring families who are empowered and engaged as critical stakeholders in student career pathways.
This leader will guide the full workforce strategy behind Pathways to Careers (P2C) overseeing the alignment of employer partnerships job opportunities and curated workforce content that directly supports students and families. The Managing Director will manage the development of high-quality relevant content on the P2C platform and ensure that all job uploads and career opportunities meet defined criteria for quality accessibility and alignment to regional workforce needs. This leader will ensure that Family Alliance curriculum and content buildout on P2C aligns and connects with the student learner journey.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Managing Director of Workforce Development and Family Alliance is responsible for the direct supervision of 2-3 senior-level staff. This includes setting strategic priorities and ensuring alignment across workforce and family engagement functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Workforce Development Strategy & P2C Alignment (35%)
- Lead the overall strategy and execution of T3s workforce development program in alignment with regional economic trends and labor market needs.
- Provide strategic oversight and guidance of the development and curation of job opportunities to ensure quality and student relevance.
- Oversight of career and postsecondary aligned content that supports informed students and family decision-making.
- Collaboration with internal teams and external partners to align P2C content with postsecondary pathways and priority industries.
- Establish criteria and processes for validating and maintaining job listings and employer profiles within the platform.
- Ensure integration of business partners into platform enhancements and workforce programming.
- Monitor platform usage job uploads and engagement metrics to assess effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with product marketing and program teams to grow user adoption and partner participation in the P2C platform.
- Other duties as assigned.
Strategic Leaders of Family Alliance (35%)
- Provide strategic guidance to ensure family engagement strategies are aligned with the postsecondary and workforce readiness experience.
- Oversee and support the execution of key family initiatives including the College Savings Account (CSA) program Family Alliance Pledge and high-impact campaigns.
- Ensuring family-facing content on P2C reflects cultural relevance navigational clarity and supports parent partnership in students career journeys.
- Promote feedback loops between families and staff to improve strategy delivery and impact.

Employer & Community Partnership Development (30%)
- Build and maintain high-impact partnerships with employers industry groups chambers of commerce and workforce boards to expand career-connected learning opportunities and job pipelines for students.
- Define and communicate a clear value proposition for employer participation in T3s workforce strategy and the Pathways to Careers (P2C) platform focusing on shared ROI talent development and long-term workforce alignment.
- Lead cross-collaboration to develop scalable outreach onboarding processes and relationship management systems for employer partners contributing to job postings and mentorship opportunities.
- Provide strategic direction and support for partnerships with K12 schools and district leadership to ensure the Family Alliance strategy is aligned with district priorities and deeply embedded within school communities.
- Guide the engagement of district-level leaders to promote systemwide family engagement practices that support postsecondary and career readiness.
- Foster cross-sector collaboration between education systems employers and families to build a cohesive regional ecosystem of support for student success.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelors degree in related field advanced degree preferred
Required Experience
- 8 years of progressive leadership experience in workforce development with a track record of managing high-performing cross functional teams and complex initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing strategies in both workforce development and family engagement with a focus on improving postsecondary and career outcomes for students.
- Proven ability to build and sustain cross-sector partnerships with schools employers and community organizations
- Strong understanding of career-connected learning economic mobility and equity-centered design
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the Texas education and workforce ecosystem including CTE P-20 alignment and labor market trends.
- Knowledge of dual credit college access and postsecondary advising systems.
- Experience in campaign development and digital storytelling strategies that elevate underrepresented voices
- Experience with online career platforms.
- Experience scaling nonprofit programs during growth to maturity stages.
- Leadership experience in an education-related field.
- Experience implementing strategies that integrate family engagement with workforce development or postsecondary advising.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position will require frequent travel throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and surrounding suburbs.
