Jefferson Healthcare is expanding and we are looking for a Care Team Specialist I to join our team! The role of a Care Team Specialist is both dynamic and engaging within the healthcare sector. Care Team Specialists (Medical Receptionists) are important liaisons between the medical care team and the patients. This position involves interacting with diverse individuals in the hospital environment gathering essential information assisting patients with scheduling and navigation and supplying clinical teams with the necessary information to deliver high-quality care. Staff members in Radiation Oncology will be cross-trained to the Oncology and Infusion clinics to cover breaks and lunches.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills be organized and detail-oriented and have a strong ability to navigate computers and technology. They will also have a customer service mindset. Responsibilities include greeting and checking in patients scheduling appointments answering patient phone calls and maintaining a clean and welcoming waiting area. The ability to learn to multitask and handle patient inquiries with sensitivity and professionalism is a must. Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required. What youll need:
- High School degree or equivalent required
- One year of related experience in a clinical or medical office or other related experience required
- Candidates with Customer Service experience are encouraged to apply!
- Experience or education providing basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Experience answering high volumes of phone calls preferred
Schedule: 1.0 FTE 40hr/week; 8-hour Day Shift start times between 8 & 8:30 am
