Primary Purpose of Position:
The North Carolina Museum of Art is seeking an enthusiastic team member to be part of our wonderful organization!The Manager of Studio Programs works closely with the Director of Outreach and Audience Engagement to engage broad and diverse audiences on site and across NC and places emphasis on partnerships that engage multigenerational audiences. The position invests in partnerships that invite the exploration of the arts plural opening opportunities for studio classes alongside performing arts food and beverage arts and more. The Manager of Studio Programs also partners with artists and vendors locally and throughout NC with the goals of increasing awareness of Museum offerings supporting a love of cultural arts developing relationships of reciprocity and ensuring the Museum works to achieve its mission to serve all North Carolinians and patrons.

Division Description:
The North Carolina Museum of Art is a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. The statutory purpose of the museum is to acquire preserve and exhibit works of art for the education and enjoyment of the people of the State and to conduct programs of education research and publication designed to encourage an interest in and an appreciation of art on the part of the people of the state. The states art collection spans more than 5000 years from ancient Egypt to the present making it one of the premier art museums in the Southeast. With a 164-acre campus the museum also has the distinction of being the nations largest art museum park with an extensive trail system that connects to the 63-mile Capital Area Greenway through the City of Raleigh. Facilities located within the park include two main museum buildings a large outdoor performing arts facility/amphitheater parking lots bike trails and greenways.

Veterans and National Guard Preference
Applicants seeking Veterans Preference must attach a DD Form 214 Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty along with the state application.
Applicants seeking National Guard Preference must attach an NGB 23A (RPAS) along with the state application if they are a current member of the NC National Guard in good standing.
Applicants who are former member of either the NC Army National Guard or the NC Air National Guard with honorable discharge and six years of creditable service must attach a copy of the DD 256 or NGB 22 along with the state application.
