Job Description
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including inspections servicing and repairs of mechanical systems and equipment such as HVAC systems pumps motors and other mechanical assets.
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance to ensure the ongoing reliability and efficiency of mechanical systems.
- Respond promptly and effectively to mechanical faults breakdowns and emergency situations ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques and determine the most effective course of action for repair.
- Coordinate and liaise with internal teams subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the timely resolution of mechanical issues and maintenance requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance and repair activities including work orders equipment data and any necessary documentation.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and regulations at all times ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and those around you.
- Stay informed about industry trends advances in mechanical technology and best practices and apply this knowledge to enhance maintenance processes and procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer or similar role ideally within a facilities management or property services environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems equipment and machinery including HVAC systems pumps motors and associated controls.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults and conducting planned preventative maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work swiftly under pressure to resolve issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients colleagues and subcontractors.
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
- Flexibility to work on shifts and participate in an on-call rota.
