This position is based at Peterbilts Division office in Denton Texas where we have been headquartered since 1980. In Denton we have manufactured supported and distributed over 1 million trucks. Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Prepare and review month-end journal entries for fixed assets and general accounting.
- Perform and review reconciliations for various accounts.
- Supervise and support general accounting staff.
- Prepare tooling and fixed asset reviews.
- Perform fixed asset additions and disposals.
- Assist in SOX & ICAP testing.
- Perform corporate reporting for stats and fixed asset cash flows.
- Participate in annual physical inventories.
- Initiate process improvements and assist with special projects.
- Up to 5% travel can be expected
Skills
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Must be comfortable making oral presentations to peers and management.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Excel.
- Strong organizational skills required to manage various projects.
- Deadline-driven and self-motivated.
Qualifications
Required:
- BS/BA Accounting Degree or related Bachelors Degreerequired.
- 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
Preferred:
- Masters degree preferred.
- CPA/CMA certification.
