HSSE Advisor

Based Raynesway Derby

Hours 40hrs (Monday to Friday)

What this job involves:

As a member of the JLL Projects team the HSSE Advisor will be responsible for deploying and supporting the JLL WD health safety and environmental risk management strategy. The role will be dedicated to proactively monitoring HSSE matters on our Raynesway client Rolls-Royce account. The main function will be to enable the account to comply with JLL cultural client and statutory requirements in its operations on client sites in UK.

What your day-to-day will look like:

Ensuring that the national site operate in accordance with our management systems and applicable regulations. The role holder will: -

  • Ensuring projects comply to the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
  • Conduct site audits to ensure compliance with Internal Management System.
  • Promote a culture of positive health and safety awareness to employees and contractors.
  • Be a visible onsite safety presence to address unsafe behaviours and unsafe conditions.
  • Support the site facilities teams by providing on-site HSSE guidance.
  • Support the investigation of any reported incidents.
  • Ensure suitable and sufficient Risk Assessments are in place and trained out.
  • Review the documented Safe Systems of Work to ensure they are suitable AND being followed by all site teams.
  • Ensure records are retained to demonstrate regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure that all services and activities are provided in accordance with current legislation / client guidelines and Company process and policy.
  • Continually look for and suggest ways we can improve the service we provide to the wider business.
  • Authority to stop work in progress if deemed unsafe.
  • Identification of HSSE risks and suitable corrective actions
  • Always Demonstrate the JLL Core Values within the business.

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a CDM role (Essential)
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (Essential)
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (Desirable)
  • Facilities Management based experience (Desirable)
  • Demonstrate an open communicative style down to earth approach.
  • Behavioural Safety approach rather than rules based (supportive not punishing)
  • Team player with a Can-Do attitude. Here to help resolve any HSSE concern.
