The Job
- Will directly report to the Director of Rehabilitation and will work under Facility Administration
- Rehabilitation technicians have duties to support patients and therapists during rehab therapy services delivery.
Responsibilities
- Patient care:Assist therapists with patient care including preparing treatments and exercises and monitoring patients during sessions
- Patient transport:Help patients get to and from treatment areas
- Treatment areas:Prepare treatment areas and equipment and clean and sanitize them after each patient
- Safety:Ensure the safety of patients and premises by sterilizing equipment disposing of hazardous materials and maintaining cleanliness
- Administrative tasks:Assist with administrative duties as deemed appropriate by the Director of Rehabilitation.
Qualifications
- Recommended but not necessaryCertificate of Rehab Technician training.
- Therapy experience in rehabilitation for skilled nursing or long-term care.
- Experience in a Skilled Nursing Rehabilitation environment would be an asset in consideration for this position.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel Power Point etc.)
- Possess a passion for working in a retirement community with a geriatric population.
