Reporting to the Operations Engineering Manager - NA the Electrical Engineer is responsible for the Sustaining Engineering activities supporting Printed Circuit Board Assembly maintenance of line Value Analysis/Value Engineering in support of Operations and new product launch. This role will be located onsite in Kentwood Michigan.

In this role a typical day will look like:
- Design develop and support electrical systems including PCBAs motors optical systems controls and imaging technologies.
- Evaluate components and systems using electronics and materials knowledge.
- Manage component lifecycle (EOL/obsolescence) and coordinate with procurement to source alternatives and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with R&D to identify and implement VAVE (value engineering) opportunities for cost and process improvements.
- Participate in teardown and Kaizen events contributing ideas to enhance product design and cost-efficiency.
- Analyze production yield data to identify trends and resolve quality issues.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- B.S. Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry
- Ability to travel up to 5% domestic/ international
- 3 years of experience in PCBA design analogy/digital/mixed-signal systems FPGA and SOM integration imaging technologies engineering tools (MATLAB Python VHDL Verilog SQL) EMC/EMI grounding quality systems (DFMEA PFMEA DFM) and motion control or power electronics.
- Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization.
It would be an asset if you have:
- Experience with Altium Mentor Graphics DX Designer PADS or other related electrical
design - Understanding of BOMs routing manufacturing processes and tooling design.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associates position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills seniority geographic location performance shift travel requirements sales or revenue-based metrics any collective bargaining agreements and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $75000.00 - $85000.00 USD per job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
