Job Description

The Shaker Regional School District seeks an Occupational Therapist (OT) for a 3-day/week school-based position. The focus of the Occupational Therapy program at our schools is to address students individual sensory and motor needs in order to improve their overall performance in the school setting and beyond. Our program focuses on sensory integration theory and praxis skill development in order to remediate critical foundational OT will work with students individually and in small groups throughout the school day. The OT will be joining a robust and collaborative team of highly trained clinicians and teachers with expertise in special education school counseling speech and language therapy occupational therapy and classroom and behavior District enables students with language-based academic and social deficits to thrive through small class sizes differentiated instruction active problem-solving and relationship building. The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy and valid New Hampshire state licenseExperience working with special education student populations (preferably in a school setting)Skilled at performing and writing assessmentsStrong background in sensory integration therapyExcellent communication skills contagious enthusiasm and a collaborative style to fit with our small-team environment.
