Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days totaling 80 hours worked and have every other Friday off

Job Description:

This person will contribute to the companys success by performing assembly operations on a variety of LRU (Line Replaceable Units) circuit card assemblies (CCAs) and components. This role will report directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor and is responsible for successfully testing and debugging L3 products for delivery or repair.

Essential Functions:

  • Completes manufacturing assembly in compliance with quality specifications providing mentoring to lower level technicians and assemblers
  • Experience assembling electro-mechanical products using hand tools (screwdrivers wrenches socket drivers torque drivers crimping tools)
  • Implements and provides feedback for operation sequence and the ability to achieve manufacturing requirements and specifications
  • Develops methods tooling and assembly aids required to achieve special design engineering requirements
  • Experience soldering electro-mechanical components (CCA cable build)
  • Corrects manufacturing failures by adjusting or replacing parts or components as directed
  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
  • Performs continuous improvement projects targeting waste affecting product quality cost and schedule or other items of value to the business
  • Maintain professional standards of performance demeanor and judgment at all times as detailed incompany policy and procedure
  • Uphold high ethical standards
  • Support OT (nights weekends extended hours) as needed to meet schedule requirements and business needs
  • Assist Manufacturing Process Engineering on trends root causes and corrective actions
  • Participate in process improvement activities
  • Adherence to L3Harris policies and procedures including but not limited to calibration of equipment ESD (electrostatic discharge) FOD (foreign object debris/damage) and general housekeeping.
  • A resource for other employees in areas of expertise
  • Works under limited supervision
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Management
  • Frequently moves equipment weighingup to 40 pounds across campus for various needs.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in prototype and first time build processes
  • Knowledgeable in manufacturing process improvement through adoption of more efficient methods using tools such as lean six sigma just do it and TOC techniques Demonstrated ability to comprehend schematics logic drawings layouts wire lists and prints
  • Experience with SAP SAPME TeamCenter enterprise resource planning and lifecycle management software
