Education/Training Specialist III
Bachelors degree in an appropriate area and six years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Digital Scholarship Research and Collaboration
Partner with faculty and researchers to integrate digital scholarship methods and tools into course materials and research initiatives.
Provide consultations and training sessions for faculty and students on digital research tools project sustainability and innovative digital scholarship practices.
Organize and lead workshops and develop instructional resources that empower faculty and students to use digital tools effectively.
Support interdisciplinary collaborations by identifying opportunities for digital tools to enhance humanities research and public scholarship.
Instructional Design and Technology Implementation
Design and develop engaging instructional materials and multimedia content for various instructional formats ensuring alignment with course and learning objectives and pedagogical standards.
Provide expertise in instructional design models to create materials that meet diverse learner needs. Implement accessibility best practices.
Evaluate and revise instructional materials to incorporate emerging technologies and strategies that improve learner engagement and support teaching outcomes.
Provide consultations to faculty and teaching assistants on incorporating digital tools and research methods into curricula.
Pilot new technologies and provide recommendations on adoption training and implementation in classroom settings.
Technical Writing and Project Documentation
Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation for research and instructional projects supporting all phases of the project lifecycle.
Write technical content for grant proposals ensuring alignment with funding agency guidelines and addressing technical and instructional requirements.
Produce user guides instructional manuals and digital resources for ongoing projects to support faculty and research teams in the effective use of tools methods and platforms.
Collaborate with faculty to craft reports and case studies that highlight the impact and outcomes of digital humanities projects.
Digital Humanities Lab Coordination
Develop and maintain policies procedures and technical infrastructure related to the Digital Humanities Lab at CHPS. Oversee the strategic use of the lab while ensuring efficient daily operations.
Foster relationships with faculty students UF partners and external collaborators through regular communication feedback integration and active stakeholder engagement.
Select acquire organize preserve and provide information on DH-related resources and services at UF ensuring these materials are effectively curated and accessible to meet the needs of lab users.
The salary range for this position is $58K-$65K.
