Large Animal Hospital Veterinary Treatment Technician I:
High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience loading unloading restraining handling and treating horses or one year of experience loading unloading restraining handling and treating horses in a veterinary academic teaching hospital.
Large Animal Hospital Veterinary Treatment Technician II:
High school diploma or equivalent; four years of experience loading unloading restraining handling and treating horses or two years of experience loading unloading restraining handling and treating horses in a veterinary academic teaching hospital; and certification or licensure as a Veterinary Technician.

As a member of our nursing staff you will play an instrumental role in instructing veterinary students in technical skills and performing medical treatments and procedures as directed by our veterinarians. A successful applicant should be seeking a part-time flexible schedule and enjoy learning new things and can quickly adapt to a changing environment. This person would work primarily weekends holidays and after hours. A person in this position must possess a good base knowledge of veterinary medicine excellent nursing skills with experience in treating and handling horses - but may include goats pigs alpacas cattle sheep and llama patients.
This position also requires working alternate shifts holidays weekends or on-call duty. This position is considered essential personnel which may include reporting to work during Main Campus closures. This position requires a post- offer health assessment.
$18.00 - 25.00 hourly
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification or licensure as a veterinary technician is preferred but not required.
