Job Summary:
The Department of Emergency Medicine at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor (HS) / Attending Physician. The successful candidate will:
- Perform all functions of an attending Emergency Medicine Physician in all areas of the Emergency Department (Main Fast Track Pediatrics).
- This includes medical management utilization of appropriate consultations and timely patient dispositions while appropriately supervising residents nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
- It also includes creating timely and accurate medical records communication the care rendered and decision-making process.
- Work must be collaborative and collegial and adhere to the highest professional standards.
Required Qualifications:
- New York State Medical License.
- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or Board Eligible if residency was completed within the prior 5-years.
- If Board Certified must maintain PALS certification.
- If Board Eligible must maintain BLS ACLS PALS and ATLS certifications.
