This Notice is being provided as a result of the filing of an application for permanent alien labor certification for the following job opportunity:
Position Title: Assistant Womens Basketball Coach/Instructor
Position Requirements: The candidate must have a Bachelors Degree in Sports Administration/Sports Management Kinesiology or a related field or foreign education equivalent. The candidate must demonstrate the following: experience coaching and recruiting successful basketball programs at the NCAA Division I level and commitment to leadership sportsmanship and academics; ability to comply with all laws policies rules and regulations governing the NCAA and Atlantic 10 Conference; classroom teaching experience at collegiate level; experience as a previous Division I student-athlete; and ability to work flexible schedule including evenings weekends and holidays. Domestic travel to various locations will be required up to 5% of the time to coach games/tournaments and recruit quality student athletes at the Division I level. International travel will occur 1 or 2 times over a 5 year period to coach games/tournaments and recruit quality student-athletes at the Division I level.
Position Duties: The job duties of the position are as follows: (i) instruct train and coach women student-athletes in basketball about the collegiate game and facilitate skills development in areas including academic/social/mental health development compliance and safety and health; (ii) serve as offensive coordinator and position coach for post players; (iii) recruit quality student-athletes at the Division I level; (iv) assist the head coach in team operations with emphasis on areas such as leadership team composition competition strategies and peak performance; (v) teach one academic course per academic year on coaching leadership health science and/or related topics; and (vi) perform other duties related to coaching as requested (e.g. compliance education budget management equipment procurement donor relations etc.).
