Gastroenterologist: Bridgton and Rumford

Central Maine Medical Center is actively recruiting for a full time Gastroenterologist for our Bridgton and Rumford locations. This position will be split between both Bridgton and Rumford hospitals. Our health system which consists of a 250-bed facility in Lewiston and Critical Access Hospitals in both Bridgton and Rumford employs 400 providers throughout a wide range of medical and surgical services with 50% being primary care providers. We place great emphasis on quality and safety leading to CMMC being recognized with an A Leapfrog rating in 2018. Additionally both Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital were recognized as 2018 Top Rural Hospitals by The Leapfrog Group.

This position will require very limited call coverage!!

About Our Community:

Bridgton Region:

Bridgton is a town in Cumberland County Maine; a resort area in Maines Lake Region and home to Bridgton Academy a private preparatory school. The town is nestled among many of the states most scenic lakes and offers a variety of year-round outdoor recreation activities as well as easy access to some of the areas most significant historical and cultural sites as well as the Atlantic coast beaches. Ski enthusiasts in particular will love this area for its ski slopes these unique ski slopes created by the townspeople in the 1930s spell the word LOVE.

Rumford Region:

A beautiful rural area the town is located in west-central Maines Oxford County and is surrounded by forests mountains rivers and lakes. This area boasts many recreational opportunities for boating swimming and fishing; and its also home to the largest waterfall east of Niagara. The business district of the town is located on The Island located between the Androscoggin River and the canals. The Island features restaurants and retail stores along with the local government offices Post Office and banking institutions.
