Job Summary
The Product Manager is responsible for sales accounts including interaction with customers production facilities customer service administrative and accounts receivable.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

- Responsible for sale of finished product pet grade PF and other commodity fats
- Negotiates contracts with customers
- Sells and prospects for potential new business
- Coordinates service of finished product including inventory management logistics and scheduling to meet plant and customer needs
- Communicates sales position margins freight needs and projections to various levels of management
- Understands and utilizes Oracle sales purchases and inventory management programs
- Works closely with Product Quality and Safety Teams to ensure product quality
- Point person on communication between end users our plant personnel and customer service
- Completes forms paperwork etc. in connection with customer approvals audits regulatory requirements pricing and contract fulfillment
- Coordinates trade show and conference schedules meetings etc.
- Reviews order entries submitted by commodities sales back office
- Responsible for product scheduling and account receivables
- Communicates customer activities with managers of other Darling lines of business
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Agriculture Business Marketing or related field; or
- 3 years of comparable work experience in an agriculture ingredient or related field; or
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in agricultural business/sales a plus
- Proficiency in Oracle sales purchases and inventory management programs preferred
- Detail oriented; highly organized; self-motivated; ability to multi-task
- Work well in a team environment
- Agility in decision making
- Excellent communication skills with both internal and external customers
- Experience working in Microsoft Office suite (Word Excel PowerPoint etc.)
