Overview

As a House Supervisor at CHI St. Alexius Health youll oversee a team of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care adds tremendous value to our nursing team.

Every interaction is an opportunity to improve your understanding of a patients needs your nursing teams needs or your units needs. Youll advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential which aligns with your departments operational goals and objectives.

To thrive in this role you need to be accountable and confident. Youre an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions with physicians consultants and family advocates. You will work in collaboration with fellow House Supervisors Managers and Directors to help deliver exceptional patient care and a healthy team culture.

Responsibilities

    • Organizes and oversees patient care delivery while monitoring and assessing the current environment for smooth hospital operations.
    • Ability to serve as a leader and teammate.
    • Ensure your direct reports and department are positioned to deliver the best care possible to our patients.
    • High level of engagement with the floor- visibly connecting with physicians nurses patients and families.
    • Monitor the efficiency of your department.
    • Mentor people on your team. Share your knowledge and confidence with assistant nurse managers charge nurses and others.

Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing required OR must be currently enrolled and complete Bachelors Degree in Nursing.

Required Licensure and Certifications:

  • Current RN licensure in the State of North Dakota or compact state.
  • Basic Life Support is required upon hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include the following: American Heart Association: Basic Life Support.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification required.

Required Minimum Knowledge Skills Abilities and Training: 3 to 5 years of clinical experience required.
