Job Description

The Global Fleet and Products (GFP) Electrification and Infrastructure team is looking for a Senior Manager Supply Chain Manager to lead our deployment of real estate strategy and physical infrastructure supporting the Surface Transportation network in North America. In this role you will lead the Launch Execution and Adoption (LEA) team which is responsible for scaling all of Amazons Middle Mile fleet infrastructure to support our Class 6 and 8 trucks and 53ft trailer fleet. Specifically this role will be responsible for leading the team that launches Amazons alternative fueling infrastructure (Renewable Natural Gas and Renewable Diesel fueling stations) EV charging maintenance bays driver amenities automated wash bays trailer snow removal systems and secured parking locations including Amazon Transportation Hubs (ATHs) our future network of sites focused exclusively on transportation infrastructure needs. We are looking for strong leaders who can Deliver Results to launch the infrastructure required for Amazon to meet its Climate Pledge goal of achieving net zero carbon by 2040. They should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where delivery time for new physical infrastructure is critical to keep up with the diverse needs of our growing fleets.

We are seeking a dynamic leader with extensive experience in Real Estate acquisitions and complex Construction project management. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of cross-functional leadership particularly in coordinating with stakeholders across product management engineering operations and business development teams. This role requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to lead discussions at the VP level and above. The successful candidate will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment combining strategic vision with hands-on execution capabilities while navigating ambiguous rapidly changing customer environments. They must demonstrate strong vendor management skills a consultative leadership approach and the ability to influence and align multiple stakeholders to drive multi-year programs. Working closely with Fleet Partners Tech Teams and Executive Leadership this leader will balance fiscal responsibility with innovative problem-solving to successfully scale our fleet infrastructure network across North America. The ability to make high-judgment decisions and maintain strategic flexibility is essential to success in this position.

15% travel is required for this position

Key job responsibilities
Lead strategic real estate portfolio planning sourcing and lease negotiations across multiple regions
Resolve delays or blockers to site launches such as permitting or construction
Define and develop large-scale technical strategies across team boundaries
Spearhead new initiatives enabling growth process enhancement and cost reduction
Navigate and execute in ambiguous environments with dynamic product development plans
Develop and implement innovative scalable solutions and best practices for complex systemic problems
Analyze and resolve operational barriers with focus on root cause identification
Partner with technology teams and product managers to support business growth
Serve as primary technical escalation point and decision-maker for critical issues
Manage landlord and vendor relationships including negotiation of major agreements
Build and maintain strategic partnerships across field teams service providers and stakeholders while driving alignment and fiscal responsibility
Mentor and develop team members while educating the broader community on best practices
Present to leadership via Operating Plan reviews and strategy documents
Leverage strong analytical skills to evaluate proposals and develop business cases balancing short and long-term trade-offs
Apply frugality principles while maintaining operational excellence
Innovate to improve customer experience and optimize network costs

- Bachelors degree
- 7 years of team management experience
- 7 years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 7 years of program or project management experience
- Experience managing analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience in Real Estate Construction Site Launches or related field

- MBA
- Experience supporting accounting/finance customers to set and effectively manage expectations project deliverables and drive resolution when conflicts or issues arise
- 7 years of experience owning program strategy end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $141400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $233800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
