Job Description
CHEP Services is hiring Sit Down Forklift Operators for our location in Baltimore MD. Are you a forklift operator Are you familiar with the warehouse environment Are you focused on safety Are you reliable and customer-driven If so CHEP Services would like you to apply.
What does a Forklift Operators day-to-day look like with CHEP
- Operates Sit Down Forklift to move pallets through the different departments in the plant.
- Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
- Positions forks lifting platforms or other lifting devices under over or around loaded pallets and transports load to designated area.
- Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering the lifting device.
- The forklift operator supplies and retrieves pallets or materials from different departments throughout the plant as needed.
- The operator is responsible for making decisions regarding the movement of pallets or materials to maximize the plants efficiency.
- May lubricate and replace the liquefied gas tank if needed
What does CHEP look for in a candidate to work as a Forklift Operator
- 2 years of previous experience operating the sit-down forklift.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- 2 years previous experience working in an industrial fast-moving setting with industrial machinery.
- Forklift Certification is preferred but not required.

- 2nd Shift - Monday to Friday 4:00 pm to 12:30 am
