The Associate Senior Technician Formulation will work within the Vancouver R&D department in a lab-based role to perform routine production and analysis of lipid nanoparticles. They will work collaboratively in team-based projects to deliver groundbreaking LNP research product development and support to other functions.
This position is part of the Nucleic Acids and Nanomedicine (NANM) Business Unit and the role will be based at our Vancouver Canada office. At Cytiva our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
What youll do:
- Perform and troubleshoot routine formulation and analytical tasks
- Formulate lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) encapsulating nucleic acids using a range of methods and instruments; operate semi-automated and automated liquid handling robots
- Characterize lipids and LNPs using a wide-range of standard analytics techniques such as DLS zeta-potential UV-VIS etc.
- Analyze data prepare reports present the major findings in team and project meetings
- Assist in the routine preparation of buffers and reagents re-stocking of lab supplies and other lab support tasks
Who you are:
- 2 year associate degree/diploma with relevant background in Chemistry Biochemistry Pharmaceutical Sciences or a relevant field.
- 4 years of hands-on lab experience preferably in industry.
- Independent organized detailed-oriented with ability to multi-task and succeed in team environment.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Automation and high-throughput screening
- Operation of robotic liquid handling instruments
The salary range for this role is $70K-$90K CAD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
