Job Description
MPU is adding a new leader at our power generation site and we are seeking applicants with strong power plant experience.
The Assistant Power Plant Manager-Operations is responsible for implementing strategic operational initiatives and overseeing plant production performance and regulatory compliance. This includes development of plant personnel fostering a culture that prioritizes operational work orders and supports key business functions.
This role also works closely with the Plant Manager to ensure safe efficient and compliant plant operations balancing administrative responsibilities with hands-on fieldwork and maintaining effective communication across all levels of the organization.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversees daily operations.
Outage planning and execution.
Plant performance monitoring and analysis.
Safety management.
Technical support and development.
Sample of Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Extensive experience and progressive leadership in power production.
Bachelors Degree in engineering sciences or similar field electrical or mechanical engineering preferred.
Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Lead coach and develop direct reports.
Pay Rate: $118000 starting pay.
