BAMSI is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization founded in Brockton Massachusetts with a vision of driving change and creating equal opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental and behavioral health challenges. Brockton Area Multi-Services Inc. (BAMSI) was incorporated on March 21 1975 as South Shore Multi-Services Inc. under Chapter 180 of the Massachusetts General Laws as a not-for-profit human service organization. On July 9 1975 it changed its name to Brockton Area Multi-Services Inc. It was formed for the development coordination and delivery of integrated human service programs and according to its website its mission is to empower people and enrich their lives through compassionate support and diverse services one individual one family a time. BAMSI employees up to 2000 people and operates adult child and family services assisting approximately 30000 individuals each year in Worcester Middlesex Norfolk Bristol and Plymouth Counties.

Position Location: Foxboro MA
General Statement of Duties: The Nurse Educator is a member of the Health Care Services leadership team responsible for identifying designing implementing and updating the training curriculum using simulated clinical lab and competencies to ensure high quality care for the person served by the agency. The Nurse Educator reports to the Senior Director of Health Care Services. They will serve as liaison between the Learning and Development Department and Health Care Services. The Nurse Educator will also serve as lead instructor of the Department of Public Medication Administration Program (MAP) and other identified trainings.
Skills & Qualifications
Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts who is motivated and enthusiastic about training.
A minimum of 5 years nursing experience.
Computer literacy is required including the ability to use excel Microsoft word record data use electronic time and attendance software receive and send electronic mail and work with he agency-approved electronic health care record.
Knowledge of nursing care theories methods procedures and practices.
Two years experience working with individuals with disabilities and case management preferred.
Must possess a valid drivers license in the state of residence.
Effective critical thinking communication and writing skills.
Ability to present complex information in a clear manner to a diverse audience.
Must possess strong organizational time management and interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities and work within a team environment.
Must be motivated and enthusiastic about training and designing training curriculum
Ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles
Ability to work with staff with diverse cultures and backgrounds
Ability to push pull and lift at least 25 lbs.
