Job Description
- Create engaging lesson plans lessons and presentations to pique student interest and involvement in learning
- Practice SEL techniques in the classroom to foster student growth and connection
- Administer and provide constructive feedback on student work in a timely manner
- Evaluate students skills and knowledge and grade their work
- Manage the classroom to ensure a supportive learning environment; enforce rules and supervise students behavior
- Help students who are struggling and prepare them for life after graduation
- Meet with parents and guardians to discuss students progress and encourage parent and community involvement
- Work with other teachers and staff to develop programs and initiatives and collaborate with guidance counselors
- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities
- Work with Department Head and Dean of Faculty to craft curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities for students
- Foster and maintain a healthy disciplined classroom setting
- Contribute positively to the inclusive and collaborative culture of St. Bernards High School
- Participate in professional development opportunities and community activities
- Add attend fall and spring Open House events
- Work closely with the Director of External Relations and Media Specialist to promote their innovative lessons on STB social media and website channels.
- All other duties as assigned.
