Job Summary:
We are seeking a self starter skilled Maintenance Specialist to oversee and perform maintenance duties across eight buildings and sites. This role involves maintaining building integrity grounds and ensuring a safe clean and efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests for multiple buildings and sites.
- Maintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of building interiors and exterio
Maintenance Specialistrs including groundskeeping parking lots snow removal and salting (grounds maintenance skills desirable but not mandatory).
- Perform routine repairs such as plumbing electrical locksets carpentry and minor mechanical fixes.
- Support building operations including opening and closing procedures.
- Monitor and regulate indoor climate to ensure comfortable temperatures.
- Complete small repairs independently without third-party contracting.
- Manage inventory of mechanical and custodial supplies; assist with receiving shipments.
- Coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs (plumbing electrical HVAC etc.).
- Troubleshoot heating electrical and mechanical issues.
- Respond to emergency situations including fire alarm and burglar alarms.
- Maintain a safe secure and organized work environment following all safety protocols.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of experience in facilities management within industrial retail or office environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with team members contractors and vendors.
- Must have a drivers license (no more than 2 points on your license).
- Ability to work in challenging conditions including confined spaces at heights and extreme temperatures.
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- some computer skills is desirable (Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word).
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of safety standards and proper use of tools and equipment.
- Availability to be on-call for emergency response.
- Proficiency in using both powered and manual tools.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning solutions including reading and understanding labels and safety data sheets.
