Job Description
Role and Responsibilities:
- Design/Development/installation and upkeep of test lab equipment in support of test lab objectives.
- Preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure 100% safe and reliable operation.
- Troubleshooting test station failures by systematic 8-D approach.
- Develop maintain and support existing LabVIEW applications.
- Cross functional discussions with project owners in defining the scope of experiments and timelines.
- Participate in new test station design / development projects and execute the project from concept to final product.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong programming skills in NI LabVIEW PLC and Python to develop and maintain automation code for system and custom test setup.
- Work with complex HW systems that have different types of communication protocols such as RS232/RS485 Modbus TCP/IP communication UART CAN.
- Reviewing and checking maintenance reports and drawings to ensure quality of output.
- Should be familiar with Instrument Selection - All types of field instruments Exposure to selection of instruments and systems for Hazardous areas.
- Familiarity with electrical mechanical and hydraulic test equipment used in the automotive industry is highly desirable.
