Qualifications/Requirements: - Must have a Bachelors Degree in Human Services or related field
- Must have two (2) years of professional experience working with adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
- Must have one (1) year of supervisory responsibility in an organization that serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Recreational Therapist certification preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must pass pre-employment & random drug testing
- Must have a valid drivers license and good driving
- Must have proof of auto insurance
- Must be able to have a basic understanding of financial statements and how they affect the operations
- Able to read understand and implement written and oral instructions.
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality
- Must have good computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must be able to multi-task
- Must be able to handle stressful situations
Responsibilities: - Be a proven leader for a team of employees
- Oversight and management of the functions and the staff in the ADT department
- Supervise/manage the departments staff including their hiring coaching disciplining and evaluating
- Train new staff and conduct annual staff training as needed
- Responsible for keeping accurate and confidential records on all individuals being served in accordance with SCL requirements
- Maintain updated calendar of events for all participant programs and outings
- Lead staff in working toward participants achieving their individual goals
- Coordinate participants provided services with outside service providers
- Responsible for the timely completion of all incident reports and notice to all parties is provided in accordance with DDID regulations
- Verify time cards are complete and accurate and approval of all-time cards is completed by noon of each payroll Monday
- Resolve participants behavior issues through staff interaction
- Cooperates and works as a team member with co-workers and supervisors. Treats co-workers and supervisors with respect. Promotes teamwork and maintains a positive attitude.
- Completes initial and annual training-(CPR First Aid Tb skin assessment etc.) as directed by Agency policy and regulatory standards. Attends monthly staff meetings and additional staff development trainings as scheduled.
- Adheres to Agency policy and procedures. Maintains a consistent work attendance record. Limits use of calling off to a minimum and notifies direct supervisor in appropriate amount of time when unable to report to work.
- Fosters collaborative working relationships among members of the leadership and management teams and programs.
