Job Description

Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists management with overall project resources and requirements.
  • Develops and manages detailed work plans schedules changes to scope and milestone deadlines project estimates resource plans and status reports.
  • Recommends and takes action on the analysis and solutions of problems.
  • Meets regularly with business and technology owners to define business and technical requirements and develop corresponding implementation plans.
  • Plans course of projects including milestones resources required cross-functional dependencies use of technology and tools and document in project plan following established project management methodology.
  • Proactively manages project dependencies risks action items and blockers. Communicates and escalates as needed.
  • Assists the team to remove roadblocks and manages dependencies.
  • Manages team data metrics and analyzes trends.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • DoD Secret clearance required with a Top-Secret clearance strongly preferred. Must be able to obtain and possess a DoD Top Secret/SCI.
  • 5 years IT management experience
  • 3 years experience of relevant project/program management in fast-paced operations group
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing all aspects of the contract financial management and its subordinate functional and integrated projects of a similar size scope and complexity cybersecurity program
  • Possess functional knowledge of ITIL concepts and principles
  • Possess functional knowledge of security and vulnerability management concepts and principles
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant PM certifications preferred; Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification highly desired
  • B.S. degree in a related fieldpreferred. Can be substituted with relevant work experience.
  • ITIL Foundations Certification preferred
  • CISSP certification highly desirable

Overview

We are seeking an Project Manager to join our team supporting Defense Threat Reduction Information Analysis Center (DTRIAC).

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) IT environment consists of multiple platforms network system and facilities typically found in any civilian Federal Government agency. This includes but is not limited to different types of operating systems such as Windows LINUX/UNIX and hardware such as IBM-compatible PCs Apple PCs etc. The network and systems are globally distributed but primarily concentrated in the US. The environment is a 24x7x365 supported system where security plays a key role.

The Project Manager will manage multiple concurrent DTRIAC projects and will manage teams comprised throughout a matrixed environment He or she will engage with business and technical stakeholders at varied levels to define the scope and schedule for business and technology initiatives throughout the division. He or she will align key objectives and provide advice as the Subject Matter Expert throughout the project execution. He or she report on project progress milestones risks and issues as needed to project owners.
