SC - Sansum ClinicPosition Overview:
Provides administrative support by answering phones scheduling patient appointments filing paperwork greets patients and assists with the check in of patients. Performs all of the pre-tests refractions assist physicians with exams and/or procedures.Job Description:
EDUCATION:
HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
- COA-Certified Ophthalmic Assistant within 18 months
- OR COT-Certified Ophthalmic Technician within 18 months
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
- 1 year recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Skill in operating a computer copier and telephone console identifying problems and recommending solutions.
- The ability to understand and carry out assigned orders by physician or supervisors.
- Must have customer service skills with patients physicians co-workers and all supervisor/management positions.
- Ability to make simple mathematical computations work independently effectively prioritize tasks exercise initiative judgment and decision making work effectively as team member establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients employees and the public.
- Knowledge understanding and ability to operate visual testing equipment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.

Pay Range is $23.00 to $29.90 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidates experience education skills licensure and certifications department equity training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
